Jared started his
career in the framing industry in 1991, working for a
wholesale supply company in Brisbane called Hughes
Mouldings. After many years working as a sales
representative, travelling around Australia visiting picture
framers & photographers, Jared began to
specialize in the area of machinery, equipment & education.
Keeping up with
the advancements & changes in technology, as well as the
changing methods & applications of framing, Jared was in a
vital position of offering technical support and education
to both new & experienced framers in the industry, across
Australia.
Also working for
different retail framing businesses in his spare time, Jared
built up an intimate working knowledge and understand of the industry
and has since developed proven skills in the technical and marketing
areas of the business.
Due to his
exposure to all different levels of the industry, Jared
passionately supports the implementation of conservation
standards in framing, and has obtained the recognised
credentials of Certified Picture Framer (CPF®)
and Guild Commended Framer (GCF) to honour his commitment to
this industry goal.
Jared is
recognised for his support of industry associations, guilds
& education, and freely dedicates his time a committee
member on the board for PPFA Australia.
The CMC
Revolution:
Jared is well
know to most Australian businesses, and was responsible for
selling and installing the first computerized mat cutters in
Australia, which were all Gunnar CMC's.
11 years since
then, Jared is still serving the Picture Framing industry
working with Megawood Mouldings, and still managing the
Gunnar product range of computerized mat cutters, which have
remained the first, and most popular brand of CMC's in
Australia.
Jared has also
authored the book "Getting the most value from your
CMC" which is a popular reference guide for all CMC
